What shipped for lawyers, part 4: ask the case

ShareLinkedInXFacebookالعربية

Part 4 is the case assistant, shipped in the last ten days of August. On the Practice plan, every case has a chat for the lawyer. It is not a general chatbot: it works inside one case file.

Part 4 in twenty-four seconds: the lawyer asks the case a question, asks it to update the timeline, and drops in a document. Turn the sound on to hear it.

It answers from the case

The assistant answers from this case file and from the text read out of every document on it, scans and photos included. Ask what the contract says about notice, which date the timeline puts first, or what the client said about the cheque.

It edits when asked

Ask it to update the case details, the timeline or the memorandum, and it does. Each edit is labelled, so the lawyer can see what changed.

It files

Drop a document into the chat and it is filed on the case. A document already on the case is refused. A wrong upload can be removed from the case file.

It reads once

Each document is read once and the text is kept, so the assistant and the memorandum work from the same words. Long answers appear as they are written. A file that cannot be read settles at once instead of retrying.

See it working

Open a sample case on the demo dashboard and ask it something. There is no sign-in.

Next in the series: a memorandum you can check.
