SIDQO
Will

Write your will one question at a time

Sidqo asks about your family, your assets in the UAE and who should look after your children. Then it drafts a will you can take to a UAE wills registry.

Ask SidqoWill

Who would you like this will to look after? Tell me a little about your family.

Or start with

Sidqo asks a few questions, then writes the will for you to read and change. Private to your account.

Questions that come up before a will

I keep putting this off.
A first draft takes about fifteen minutes. You can change it as often as you like before you register it.
What happens to my bank account if I die without one?
UAE accounts in your sole name can be frozen while the courts decide who inherits. A registered will gives your family clear instructions to follow.
Do Sharia rules apply to me?
If you are not Muslim, UAE law lets you leave your assets as you choose in a registered will. If you are Muslim, Sharia shares apply to most of the estate. Sidqo asks, and drafts within the rules that fit you.
Who would look after my children?
Name a guardian and a backup. Sidqo writes the guardianship clause into the draft, so your choice is on paper.
How it works

A conversation, then a draft

  1. 1

    Answer in your own words

Sidqo asks one or two questions at a time. Give it several facts at once and it only asks for what is missing.

  2. 2

    Watch the checklist fill in

Each answer lands on the checklist beside the conversation, so you see what is covered and what is left.

  3. 3

Get the draft, then change it

Press “Write my will”. Read the draft, ask for any change in plain words, and download it as a Word file.

What Sidqo will ask

What goes into your will

These are the points Sidqo works through with you. Anything you leave open stays visible in the draft in [brackets], so nothing is quietly guessed.

  1. About you

Your full name, nationality and the emirate you live in.

  2. Which rules apply

Whether you are Muslim or non-Muslim, because it changes what a UAE will can do.

  3. Your family

Spouse, children and anyone else you want to provide for.

  4. Your UAE assets

Property, bank accounts, shares or a business in the UAE.

  5. Who receives what

How your estate is shared, and any specific gifts.

  6. Your executor

The person who carries out your will, and a backup.

  7. GuardiansOptional

Who looks after your children if neither parent can.

  8. Where you'll registerOptional

DIFC, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department or Dubai Courts. Sidqo explains the difference.

Will

  1. Declaration and earlier wills

  2. Your details

  3. Executors

  4. Guardians for your children

  5. Specific gifts

  6. The rest of your estate

  7. If a beneficiary dies first

  8. Signature and witnesses

After the draft

From draft to registered

  1. Choose a registry

The DIFC Wills Service Centre, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department or Dubai Courts. Our registration guide compares cost and coverage.

    Compare registries
  2. Bring your draft

The registry may use its own form or ask for an Arabic version. The hard part is done: your decisions are made and written down.

  3. Register it

Sign in front of the registry's witnesses. A will that is drafted but not registered may not be followed for your UAE assets.

  4. Review it after big changes

Marriage, divorce, a new child or a new property are the moments to update it.

Questions

About your will

Is a will drafted with Sidqo valid in the UAE?

A will takes effect for UAE assets once it is registered with a recognised registry. Sidqo prepares the draft. The registry checks it, witnesses your signature and records it.

Can a non-Muslim leave their assets freely under UAE law?

Yes. Federal Decree-Law No. 41 of 2022 lets non-Muslims make a will that shares their estate as they choose. Register it so your family can rely on it.

I'm Muslim. Can I still make a will in the UAE?

Yes. Sharia rules set the shares for most of your estate, and a will can record bequests within the limits the law allows and name a guardian. Ask Sidqo what applies to you.

Do I need a separate will for assets in my home country?

Often, yes. A UAE will is written for UAE assets. Keep or make a will in your home country for assets there, and check that one does not cancel the other.

How much does registering a will cost?

It depends on the registry. The DIFC Wills Service Centre costs the most; the Abu Dhabi non-Muslim registry and Dubai Courts cost less. Our registration guide lists the current bands.

Is this legal advice?

No. Sidqo provides legal information and drafts from what you tell it. For a large or international estate, or a family situation that may be contested, have a lawyer review the draft before you register it.

Start with your family

Tell Sidqo who the will should look after. It asks the rest gently, one question at a time.

Sidqo provides legal information, not legal representation. Drafts are written by AI from what you tell it and are not reviewed by a lawyer. For a high-value or contested matter, have a UAE lawyer read the draft before you sign or file it.
