SIDQO
Contract or Agreement

Write your agreement before money changes hands

Tell Sidqo what you have agreed and who with. It asks about price, timing and what happens if things go wrong, then drafts a contract under UAE law.

Ask SidqoAgreement

What is this agreement for, and who is it between?

Or start with

Sidqo asks a few questions, then writes the agreement for you to read and change. Private to your account.

Questions that come up before an agreement

What if they don't pay?
The draft sets the amount, the due dates and what happens when a payment is late. Clear terms are what a court looks for if you ever need to claim.
It feels awkward with a friend.
Writing it down protects the friendship too. Sidqo keeps the tone plain and fair, not hostile.
Will an English contract hold up in the UAE?
Between private parties, yes. If a dispute reaches an onshore court, you will need a certified Arabic translation.
I'm not sure what I've forgotten.
The checklist beside the conversation shows what is covered and what is left, so nothing important is skipped.
How it works

A conversation, then a draft

  1. 1

    Answer in your own words

Sidqo asks one or two questions at a time. Give it several facts at once and it only asks for what is missing.

  2. 2

    Watch the checklist fill in

Each answer lands on the checklist beside the conversation, so you see what is covered and what is left.

  3. 3

Get the draft, then change it

Press “Write my agreement”. Read the draft, ask for any change in plain words, and download it as a Word file.

What Sidqo will ask

What goes into your agreement

These are the points Sidqo works through with you. Anything you leave open stays visible in the draft in [brackets], so nothing is quietly guessed.

  1. The parties

Each side's full name. For a company, its registered name and where it is licensed.

  2. What's being agreed

The service, sale, loan or partnership, described so a stranger would understand it.

  3. Price and payment

Amounts, currency and due dates, and what happens if a payment is late.

  4. Timing and delivery

Start and finish dates, milestones and handover.

  5. Each side's duties

What each side must do, and the standard the work must meet.

  6. Ending it

How either side can end the agreement, and what is owed when they do.

  7. Law and disputesOptional

Which law applies and which court or arbitration centre decides a dispute.

After the draft

From draft to signed

  1. Send it for review

Share the draft with the other side and agree changes in writing. Ask Sidqo to make any change you agree.

  2. Sign every copy

Both sides sign and date it. An electronic signature works for most commercial agreements in the UAE.

  3. Keep the evidence

Keep the signed agreement with invoices, receipts and messages. If there is ever a dispute, they tell the story.

  4. Arabic for court

If a dispute reaches an onshore court, the agreement needs a certified Arabic translation.

Questions

About your agreement

Does a contract need to be in Arabic in the UAE?

No. Private parties can contract in English. If the contract is filed in an onshore UAE court, a certified Arabic translation is required. DIFC Courts and ADGM Courts work in English.

Is a contract signed electronically valid in the UAE?

Yes, for most commercial agreements. UAE law recognises electronic signatures, with exceptions such as personal status matters and some property transactions.

Do I need witnesses for a contract in the UAE?

Not for most private agreements. Witnesses can help if a signature is ever disputed.

Which court handles a dispute?

If the agreement says nothing, usually the courts of the emirate where it is performed or where the other side is based. You can choose DIFC Courts or arbitration instead by writing it into the agreement.

Can I charge interest on a loan to a friend?

Be careful. UAE civil law restricts interest on loans between individuals. Sidqo drafts a repayment schedule without interest; if you want interest, ask a lawyer first.

Is this legal advice?

No. Sidqo provides legal information and drafts from what you tell it. For a high-value contract, have a UAE lawyer review the draft before you sign.

Start with what you agreed

A sentence is enough to begin. Sidqo asks about price, dates and the rest.

Sidqo provides legal information, not legal representation. Drafts are written by AI from what you tell it and are not reviewed by a lawyer. For a high-value or contested matter, have a UAE lawyer read the draft before you sign or file it.
